Meet the Creator

A Pitch for Monday's Hero

A huge thank you to Larry for bringing Monday's Hero to us and for setting the project out so clearly. We at Hollywood Indie Festival are cheering you on as you continue to create. The pitch follows below.

The Core Pitch

A former All-American football player, now a disillusioned lawyer, must bail out his current football program from a vicious hate crime murder charge.

Chris Campbell, the protagonist, is conflicted by blindly protecting the football team that made him or purely seeking the truth. Ironically, after sifting through all the corruption and homophobia, he discovers the coach's son, the team's best player, is gay and killed his lover in a jealous rage.

Target Audience & Comps

The core demographic would be middle-aged people who like a good mystery, a who dunnit story. A FEW GOOD MEN and THE VERDICT are two comparable movies where the lead, a lawyer, re-discovers himself and eventually the truth.

The Vision & Urgency

As a former All-American collegiate athlete, I experienced corruption and homophobia in the American college environment. (Is it still there?)

This is an ideal time to produce this project as the viewer can see how society has developed the tolerance and acceptance toward homosexuality.

Finally, one unique part of this script is a TEAM sport athlete, not an INDIVIDUAL sport athlete, is hiding his homosexuality.

Current Status & Goals

My goal is to have MONDAY'S HERO up on the screen. I would like to sell it, find a producer or find literary representation.
