A Pitch for Dieter Tully
A huge thank you to J. Austin for bringing Dieter Tully to us and for setting the project out so clearly. We at Hollywood Indie Festival are cheering you on as you continue to create. The pitch follows below.
A young defense programmer haunted by the dead is drawn into a covert war against an international child-trafficking ring when the spirit of a murdered mother enlists him to avenge her abducted daughter and rescue the living children still in danger.
A mash-up of mystery, supernatural, action and drama. Comps: “The Sixth Sense,” “The Matrix,” “Inception,” “John Wick,” “The Bourne Identity,” “The Others,” “Minority Report,” “The Equalizer,” “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “Constantine.”
Dieter Tully has been a compilation swimming in my mind for the last three years. All the innocent ideas of coming into your own, helping those in need, on-mission to make the people who raised you - proud to know you, are all part of what Dieter Tully is and what he represents.
Everyone is looking for the script option/sale and only the crazy will deny that. But if there is more work to be shaped or explored, I would absolutely prefer literary representation.
