The Opaque is a post-apocalyptic drama that follows Will Anderson and his family as they navigate society after the United States’ power grid shuts down. They’ve survived 8 months on their own when they’re informed about a hidden community somewhere in Charlotte, NC: The Opaque. Whether this community is safe or not is something Will Anderson may find out the hard way.

The Opaque features a universal narrative that appeals to more than one demographic. But if I have to pick one group, I would say that men would enjoy the story the most. All of the male characters in the story are interesting, flawed, and relentless in their goals.

I’ve always loved the post-apocalyptic genre. Survival is a universal narrative that all of us are inspired by daily, and The Opaque’s theme embodies that sentiment. My short-term goal is to direct and produce a trilogy, but this project could expand even further. The project features an entire cast of fresh faces from Charlotte, NC. And me being a new filmmaker also makes this potential franchise interesting.

The Opaque feature film is currently in production. After the film is complete, I will submit the feature to film festivals. Hopefully, it will get picked up by a distribution channel for streaming.
