Meet the Creator
A huge thank you to Elizabeth for these thoughtful answers and for giving us a glimpse behind the scenes of your work. We at Hollywood Indie Festival are cheering you on as you continue to create. Enjoy the interview below!
What is the central conflict and unique selling point of your project?
A) A system that displaces, corrupts, and isolates professional women who, through their own merit, achieve strategic and powerful positions in their workplaces, but who risk their family stability.
B) The selling point is an 8-episode series of 45 minutes each.
Who is the ideal viewer for this project, and which existing films/series is it most comparable to?
A) Women and men aged 35 to 55
B) Succession (HBO) → invisible power and internal dynamics; Big Little Lies (HBO) → emotional tension and intimacy; Industry (HBO) → professional pressure and psychological strain; The Kingdom → contemporary political context; The Assistant → the invisibility of power; and Zodiac → tension from what is unseen
What was the primary inspiration behind this story, and why is now the right time for the world to see it?
A) Four Devilish Women was born from direct experience. Not from observation, but from having been inside a system that doesn’t need to be visible to operate. A system that doesn’t destroy explicitly, but rather wears down, exposes, and isolates until it breaks. This series doesn’t seek to explain how it works. It seeks to show it.
B) Because the series proposes a shift: from individual reaction to collective construction. As the protagonists recognize that what happens to them is not isolated, the narrative transforms. It’s no longer about resisting, but about understanding the rules of the game and deciding how to intervene in them, in a world where women must appear strong in all areas.
Is the project fully completed, or are you currently seeking distribution, finishing funds, or representation?
A) The project has a completed screenplay and sales dossier and is seeking to be sold or financed for filming at all stages and distribution/representation.
B) It has been submitted to various festivals, reaching more than four finals and receiving an Honorable Mention, but has not yet secured funding.
