A Pitch for Beth

A huge thank you to Jason for bringing Beth to us and for setting the project out so clearly. We at Hollywood Indie Festival are cheering you on as you continue to create. The pitch follows below.

The Core Pitch

After being born blind, a determined young girl named BETH overcomes loss and self-doubt with the help of a compassionate teacher who teaches her to “see” the world in her own way and to shape her destiny beyond darkness.

Target Audience & Comps

The core demographic for my screenplay, BETH, is anyone. The story is suitable and appropriate for an audience of any age. Comps: “The Miracle Worker,” “Ray,” and “The Theory of Everything.”

The Vision & Urgency

The primary inspiration behind this project is that I wanted to show that anyone, no matter what challenges they may face, is capable of doing absolutely anything. Disable does not mean unable. We do not often have film projects that showcase a disabled person who is not defined by WHAT they are, but rather by WHO they are.

Current Status & Goals

I am seeking an option for sale of my screenplay, or a producer. I'm very passionate about my project because it is a story that must be told. It will inspire, uplift, and hopefully transform others to be bold and give them courage to accomplish their goals, regardless of life's setbacks.
